Over a third of workers say heading back to the office will worsen their mental health



According to the ONS's latest weekly survey published last Friday, half of the UK's workers returned to the workplace in the last week of August. This is the highest number since lockdown was introduced in March. The data showed that 50% of workers returned to their usual place of work between 26th and 30th August; an increase of 30% since June.

The attitudes of the nation returning to the office come as new nationally representative research from EOS Scientific, the UK's leading CBD testing service, has unveiled that Brits are still deeply sceptical about the return to work. The research unveiled that 35% agree that returning to work in a traditional office environment will have a negative impact on their mental health.


The intense period that saw offices close is gradually lifting, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now pushing for employees to return to the office rather than work from home. For some, however, this may serve to exacerbate the underlying stress felt by millions across the UK.
